Encounter with Dolphins - Duração 3 horas
We give you the opportunity to experience an unforgettable encounter. Make your dreams come true and swim with dolphins in their natural habitat. In the Azores, swimming with dolphins is allowed with 5 species: Bottlenose dolphins, Moleiros, Common, Pintado and Riscados.
Includes: briefing and debriefing, swimming with dolphins, whale watching, seabirds, turtles, fish, tour along the south coast of Pico Island.
Do not dispense: warm and comfortable clothing, hat, bathing suit and towel, sunscreen and sunglasses with UV protection. Also, binoculars for observing the animals and a camera or video camera.
Recommendations: to swim, use a mask, tube and fins, available for hire at Aqua Açores (the company has shorty wetsuits for hire).
Note: Swimming and snorkeling experience required. Only two people are allowed in the water at a time, in the presence of dolphins. It is up to the skipper to decide if the safety conditions for the dive are met.
Policies:
AquaAçores store at the entrance to the Lajes do Pico marina, 30 minutes before the trip:
- Daily trips departing from Lajes do Pico at 9am and 2pm (each trip lasts about 3 hours)
- Minimum of 4 people to guarantee the trip
- Trips depend on weather conditions
- The experience always depending on the existence of animals in the area
- We provide water suits and life jackets
FOR SWIMMING:
- We rent swimming suits "shorty", mask and tube
- Need to know and have snorkeling experience
- Only 2 people are allowed in the water in the presence of dolphins
- The skipper decides whether all the safety measures for the activity have been met, which also depends on the behavior of the animals.
CANCELATION POLITICS
- Cancellation up to one month before the trip - refund of the amount paid
- Cancellation up to one week before the trip - refund of 10% of the total amount
- Cancellation up to 48 hours before travel - no refund
- In case we do not see animals, we will make a full refund.
